Kyle Polzin

Kyle Polzin was born on January 16, 1974, in Cuero, Texas, and grew up in South Texas around horses and the Gulf Coast, subjects that recur throughout his later work. His father was an amateur painter and both grandfathers were skilled carpenters, and Polzin has credited that early exposure to craftsmanship with shaping his eye. He began formal fine art training in oil painting at Victoria College in Victoria, Texas, in 1992, though public sources describe this as training rather than a completed degree program.
