Biography
Li Ruinian was born in Tianjin, China, in 1910. He graduated from the National Art Academy in Peiping in 1933 and then went for further study to the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Brussels and the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris, though the exact years of that European study are not documented in available sources.
