Louis Vallee

Louis Vallee was a painter active in the Dutch Republic in the mid seventeenth century, known today from a small number of signed and dated portraits and history paintings produced between 1646 and 1653. The National Gallery of Art holds his history painting Silvio with the Wounded Dorinda, drawn from Battista Guarini's pastoral play Il Pastor Fido.
