Virgil Abloh

Virgil Abloh was born on September 30, 1980, in Rockford, Illinois. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2002, and completed a Master of Architecture at the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2006. He went on to found the label Off-White in 2012 and was named artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear division in 2018, a role he held alongside his own label and a wide range of collaborative design, furniture, and graphic projects until his death.

He died on November 28, 2021, in Chicago, at age 41.
